Kyle Chadburn & the Earthbound Spirits

The Earthbound Spirits emerged in 2022 as a studio collective formed to record material written by Vermont singer-songwriter Kyle Chadburn. The band’s songs are an eclectic and organic mixture of soulful, blues-oriented rock and rootsy Americana.

Since their inception, the band has produced three EPs. The first, entitled “No Direction Vol. 1,” was released in October of 2022 and leaned into the Americana side of the band’s sound. Their second EP, “No Direction Vol. 2,” was released in July of 2023 and showcased their more rock-oriented side with a collection of songs featuring the talents of new member Mike Fried on organ and piano.

In July 2024, the band released “Free Will Becomes Fate.” The six songs on this release demonstrate the soulful, funky blues-rock that the band does so well and set the tone for their musical vision moving forward. The EP was warmly received by audiences, fans, and music journalists alike.

Most recently, the band invited a limited audience into the studio with them as they recorded their first live album with engineer/producer Ben Collette at Tank Recording Studio in Burlington, Vermont. The songs on this live release span the band’s entire catalog and include some brand new, never-before-heard songs as well!

The Earthbound Spirits continue to maintain a limited live performance schedule, so catch them when you can, and you can look forward to another new EP of original material, which they already have plans to record in 2025!
